History

Our farm started as a Christmas tree plantation on family land in 1978. Shortly after we began planting trees, we built a carriage shed on Rte. 2A and created a gift shop. Currently we have 6th, 7th and 8th generation family members working at the tree farm and at the shop.

The Whiting Farm is a choose-and-cut Christmas tree farm on Whitney Road in Phillipston, MA.

We built a carriage shed nearby on Rte. 2A that we use as our gift shop. We feature antiques and collectibles along with candles, gifts and seasonal items.

At Christmastime, we make mixed green wreaths, swags and kissing balls from hand-picked materials grown on our land — we sell them at our shop.

Throughout the year we try our hand at any project we decide to do. This year we have a great demand for our handmade mittens and scarves!

Shop Hours:
January-September: Open by chance or appointment.
September-November 30th: Open Saturday & Sunday, 11am-4pm
December 1-December 24: Open Thursday- Sunday, 11am-4pm

Shop Directions: East bound from Rt. 2: Exit 19, go right, shop is 1/8 mile on left.
West bound from Rt. 2: Exit 19, shop is across the street from ramp.

Tree Farm Hours:
November 26, 27, 28: 10am-3pm
December 4-5: 10am-3pm
Pre-cut trees also available at the shop.
